What are the steps from design to delivery?
OneBest manages every stage with our partner factories and is responsible for your order from start to finish. A typical project runs:
- Design and tech pack: your sketches, measurements and materials.
- Fabric sourcing, with fabric inspected before it is cut.
- Pattern making and size grading.
- Sample development (1 week), refined until you approve it.
- Cutting, then sewing, including any specialist work such as bonding, embroidery or printing.
- Washing, pressing and finishing; labels and trims applied.
- Independent quality control.
- Packing and FOB shipment from Shanghai.
What do you need from me to start?
The clearest starting point is a tech pack: the specification sheets that describe your garment to a factory. It covers flat sketches, measurements and size grading, construction details, colorways, and a bill of materials listing every fabric, trim and piece of hardware.
A complete tech pack means a more accurate quote, fewer sample rounds, and a clear reference for quality control.

What is your minimum order?
Our minimum order is 100 units per style.
Factories set minimums because every production run carries fixed costs, such as pattern work, machine set-up and line planning, and because fabric and trims are usually bought from mills in bulk. A larger run spreads those costs across more garments. A low minimum lets you test a style without committing to large stock.
Do you make samples before production?
Yes. Sample development is one of our core services and takes 1 week.
A sample lets you check fit, fabric and construction before bulk production, so problems are caught while they are still cheap to fix. Bulk production starts once you approve the sample.
How long does production take?
Production takes 45–60 days, from sample approval to finished goods. Sampling (1 week) comes before that. All orders ship FOB Shanghai.
Starting early leaves room for design changes without pressure on your launch date.
What is the difference between knit and woven fabrics?
Woven fabrics interlace two sets of yarn at right angles. They are stable, hold their shape and have little natural stretch (shirting, denim, linen), so they suit structured pieces like shirts, trousers and jackets.
Knit fabrics are built from loops of one continuous yarn, which gives them stretch and a soft hand. They suit T-shirts, knitwear, activewear and anything that needs to move with the body.
We produce both.
What are seam bonding and laser bonding?
Both join fabric without stitching. Seam bonding fuses panels with heat, pressure and adhesive seam tape, giving a flat, sealed seam that keeps water out, which is useful for raincoats, outerwear and activewear. Laser bonding pairs laser-cut edges with bonding film for a clean, stitch-free finish on performance and technical garments.
Bonded seams are lighter and smoother against the skin than sewn ones. Not every fabric can be bonded, and bonded garments may need gentler care. We offer both alongside conventional sewing.
How do you handle fabric requests?
It depends on whether the fabric is in stock or developed for you. Stock and custom fabrics differ in cost and in minimum order, so tell us what you need and we will confirm both for your fabric.
What does FOB Shanghai mean?
Free on board. Our price covers your goods until they are loaded onto the vessel at Shanghai port. From there, freight, insurance and import are arranged by you or your freight forwarder.
